Josh is currently serving as the epidemiologist on the county’s COVID-19 response. He received his BA in History from Whitworth University, a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University, and a MPH in Epidemiology from Boston University. Before joining Pitkin County Public Health, he worked as a communicable disease epidemiologist for the Texas Department of Health. There he worked on improving vaccination rates in rural West Texas communities and fought to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases. Prior to working in the public health sector, Josh worked as a high school statistics teacher in Rhode Island.
