PITKIN COUNTY CO. (July 25, 2025) - Public Service Announcement: Pitkin County, in coordination with Gunnison County, will begin critical repairs to the Pearl Pass Bridge starting Monday, July 28. Materials have been delivered, and crews are prepared to begin work promptly on Monday morning.

Closure Details:

Closure Dates: Monday, July 28 through Friday, August 1, 2025

Daily Closure Hours: 6:00 AM to approximately 6:00 PM

Location: Pearl Pass Road at the bridge crossing

Access: The road will be closed to all through traffic during working hours

There is no detour available. Drivers approaching during closure hours will need to wait until the road reopens or turn around. Please plan your travel accordingly.

In addition to deck repairs, a backhoe will be on site to perform drainage improvements above and below the bridge. This essential work will help preserve the long-term safety and integrity of the road. Pitkin County and Gunnison County appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure project.
