CORRECTION: Applications to fill the open District 2 seat on the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners close Friday, February 6, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Interested District 2 residents are encouraged to submit their application before the deadline. Applicants must be registered to vote in Pitkin County, have lived in District 2 for at least one year, and continue residing in the district through the end of the appointment. Interested community members can apply online or pick up a paper application at the Pitkin County Administration Building front desk.

The Board is scheduled to review applications during the February 10 work session, and conduct interviews on February 17 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. 

The person selected will serve through the remainder of the term, ending January 12, 2027, following the resignation of Commissioner Kelly McNicholas Kury, effective February 16, 2026.
