Pitkin County, COLO. (May 16, 2025) – Pitkin County, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) adoption, is proud to announce the launch of its latest innovation: a public facing high-capacity direct current fast charger (DCFC).

Designed to meet the growing demand for reliable EV infrastructure, the new charger delivers 200KWH of power depending on the vehicle model. With this new offering, Pitkin County is setting a new standard for accessibility and efficiency in EV charging.

Charging is now operational at 76 Service Center Rd at the Public Works Campus. The station is equipped with the latest in charger-to-vehicle communication technology, real-time monitoring, power sharing for simultaneous charging (2 vehicles) and contactless payment options for a seamless user experience via credit card or ChargePoint app.
