The Recording Department is responsible for recording, indexing and archiving public documents related to real property transfers, deeds of trust, liens, plats and other documents to ensure they are maintained as a permanent public record. In addition, the Recording Department is also responsible for issuing and recording marriage and civil union licenses.
Escrow agents are those who have set up pre-paid accounts with us for our document copy and recording services. Anytime you have a fee based transaction with us, the money is withdrawn from your escrow account saving you time. The escrow agent login service allows you to view your current balance and transaction history directly online. To open an escrow account complete the Escrow Account Registration (PDF) form and hand deliver or mail with your check and we will set up your account. (Credit cards are not accepted for this service). There is no minimum dollar amount to set up an escrow account.

- Document copies can be obtained by using
our copy request eForm or by stopping by our office and using the public research room.
