[ARCHIVED] Human Services announces new mental health program

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

The program, announced during Mental Health Awareness Month, aims to identify barriers and gaps to improve mental health services in our area.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Human Services is proud to announce an initiative to identify barriers, gaps, and ultimately improve mental health services for those who live, work, and play in Pitkin County. This is in alignment with Pitkin County’s community vision, mission, and strategic plan.

The Mental Health Access Program will build a data collection infrastructure by partnering with local organizations to better understand how current funding is impacting our community. It will also develop a case conferencing committee made up of partnering community entities who provide direct care services to come together to troubleshoot the most vulnerable individuals in our community to better identify, coordinate, and serve their needs.
