PITKIN COUNTY, CO (October 28, 2024) – The Pitkin County Elections Department invites the community to “Vote-A-Rama,” a special early voting event on Saturday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pitkin County Administration Building, located at 530 East Main Street in Aspen.
This casual event provides voters with a relaxed way to participate in early, in-person voting, and a chance to connect with fellow community members, without contending with weekday crowds or commute times. With light refreshments from Paradise Bakery, this is a unique moment for Pitkin County voters to enjoy the democratic process while casting their ballots early.
Pitkin County Clerk Ingrid K. Grueter will be on-site from 10 a.m. to noon to answer questions about the voting process, offering insights into important aspects like mail ballot security, the role of bi-partisan teams in handling ballots, 24/7 drop box monitoring, and the logistics of in-person voting locations. However, she and her staff will not be discussing ballot issues, candidates, or any specific voting recommendations.
"We welcome anyone and everyone to stop by and ask questions about the voting process," says Grueter.
As Election Day nears, Pitkin County Elections recommends using ballot dropbox locations or in-person voting to cast your vote. Monday, November 4 and Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, are historically busier at these offices, so taking advantage of early voting options helps make the process easy and accessible to all voters.
Whether you’re dropping off a ballot, registering to vote, or voting in person, Vote-A-Rama is an opportunity to bring a bit of community spirit to the voting experience.
