Many Local Options for Food Staples for the Needy Remain Available in Aspen and Valleywide
Pitkin County Health and Human Services will host its final Mobile Food Pantry on Thursday, July 14th from 11a.m. to 1p.m. (or until the food is gone)) at the Schultz Health and Human Services building at 0405 Castle Creek Road in Aspen. Beginning July 1st, Lift Up, the local valley-wide food pantry, will add a third day to its already established food pantry schedule offering food pick up every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Pitkin County Health and Human Services Department has had a fabulous relationship with Food Bank of the Rockies for many years and has been home to the traveling food pantry every month,” said Director of Health and Human Services, Nan Sundeen. “We believe the Lift Up options in Aspen and valleywide will be a more frequent and consistent source of food staples for those who need them in our community,” Sundeen said.
