In the spirit of social distancing set forth in the Public Health Order declared by Pitkin County on March 12, 2020, most county staff will be working remotely until further and all meetings with staff will be conducted via email, telephone or video conferencing. Pitkin County Commissioner meetings will be televised on Comcast Channel 11 and via online streaming at www.pitkincounty.com.

Airport
As of 3.13.2020 the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is open and operating with the addition of regular deep cleaning and implementing social distancing protocol. of all airport facilities including the terminal. Check with your airline regarding flight information.
Assessor
The Assessor’s office will remain open 8 - 5 Monday through Thursday and Friday 8 - 4. Staff will be limited but full service remains available. Most information is available at www.pitkincounty.com/assessor. All property information can be found at pitkinassessor.org.
Clerk
In the spirit of social distancing, we are asking ALL community members to conduct their Motor Vehicle, Recording, and Election business online during this public health crisis. Please do not travel to the Clerk’s office if your transactions are not essential.

Community Development employees are working remotely until further notice. Meetings will be conducted through various virtual meeting formats rather than in-person. Each department in Com Dev. is set up to accommodate the public in order to keep building or planning applications moving forward.

Environmental Health
Environmental Health will be working with the Pitkin County response to the Corona Virus COVID-19 for the time being, permit reviews and all other usual duties will be delayed.
Human Services
We are maintaining all mandated services and operations primarily virtually (economic services, protective services, veteran services, healthy community fund) call 920-5325 to reach these offices.
The Schultz Health and Human Services Building and all the agencies housed in the building are open and available by phone. The building is open but we discourage entrance if unwell.
Senior Services programming is suspended. People over 60 can call 920-5432 if they need home-delivered meals and help with anything else they might need to support them at home.
Library
The Pitkin County Library has canceled all programs, events, activities and meeting room bookings.
At this time, the library will continue to be open with regular hours.
The library is practicing “social distancing” to help deter the spread of coronavirus. To this end, many public computers have been removed and the remaining computers are now “Express Computers” with a 30-minute appointment per day.
Open Space and Trails
All staff in the Pitkin County Administrative building will be working remotely until further notice.
Open Space rangers will still be out on the trails and properties and our maintenance staff will continue patrolling and clearing trailheads.

We have instituted social distancing protocol at the customer window in effect. Please use mail delivery if possible.
