PITKIN COUNTY, CO (12/3/2025) — The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a missing 19-year-old male last seen near Woody Creek Plaza early evening December 2nd. Deputies, along with Mountain Rescue Aspen, have conducted a coordinated search using ground teams, multiple drone flights, and thermal imaging to increase visibility and coverage. Over the past 24 hours, more than 25 personnel have been engaged in ground searches, investigative interviews, and discussions with neighbors, friends, and family. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to develop additional operational plans as needed and extends gratitude to RFTA, Mountain Rescue Aspen, and the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance and support.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding area are asked to remain alert and report anything suspicious or out of place to the dedicated tip line 970-716-4160. This includes unusual activity around properties, outbuildings, or vehicles.

For public safety, do not approach or engage the individual if seen. He may be armed. Anyone with information about his whereabouts or who observes suspicious activity should call 911 immediately.

“We are asking our community to stay vigilant and help by reporting anything that seems unusual,” Sheriff Micheal Buglione said. “Our team is working diligently with Mountain Rescue Aspen to bring this situation to a safe resolution. Please do not attempt to contact the individual”

CONDADO DE PITKIN, CO (12/3/2025) — La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Pitkin está buscando activamente a un joven de 19 años que fue visto por última vez cerca de Woody Creek Plaza durante la tarde del 2 de diciembre. Los agentes, junto con Mountain Rescue Aspen, han realizado una búsqueda coordinada utilizando equipos en tierra, múltiples vuelos de drones y tecnología de imagen térmica para aumentar la visibilidad y cobertura. Durante las últimas 24 horas, más de 25 personas han participado en búsquedas terrestres, entrevistas de investigación y conversaciones con vecinos, amigos y familiares.
