Nicotine products are designed to keep you hooked. Quitting isn’t about willpower, it’s about having the right support. Whether you want to text someone, talk to a coach, use an app, or join a group, there’s an option that fits you. Start with one of the free options below.
WHAT NICOTINE DOES TO YOUR BODY
Nicotine is highly addictive and affects:
- Brain chemistry
- Heart rate and blood pressure
- Stress response
- Sleep and mood
Over time, your body becomes dependent — meaning you may use nicotine not to feel good, but to avoid withdrawal. Withdrawal symptoms can include:
- Irritability
- Anxiety
- Restlessness
- Trouble concentrating
- Cravings
These symptoms are temporary. With support and medication (if appropriate), they are manageable.
